Ira Kapenstein (1936-1971), journalist, was a reporter, political writer, city desk assistant, and Washington correspondent for the Milwaukee Journal from 1956 to 1963, and from 1963 to 1968, worked as Special Assistant to the Postmaster General for Public Information. In 1968, he became the Special Assistant to the Director of Organization of the Kennedy for President Campaign and Assistant to the National Campaign Coordinator of the United Democrats for Humphrey in the same year.
